Mary Larson

Mary Ann Larson, age 61, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019 at her home in Hendersonville, TN.A native of Northfield, MN, she was the daughter of the late James Thomas and Mary Lillian Trnka Koktavy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Richard and Robert Koktavy.There are numerous words to describe Mary Ann's relation to those around her - Partner, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend are just a few. Above all, though, it seems the best word would be "love." She adored her family and friends, but also had a passion for travelling with Steve to the Smokey Mountains and Macinaw, MI. Together they also travelled back to Northfield, MN to visit family, but filled the journey with side trips along the way to see whatever was available.Her witty sense of humor kept laughter close at hand while her strong opinions guided the decisions of those around her.In addition to travel she also loved gardening, scrapbooking and cooking. Those hobbies often involved doing something for others, which was her greatest attribute. She will be fondly remembered for her desire to care for the well being of others.Mary Ann will be missed by all who knew her. She leaves her memory to her loving partner: Steve Beach; sons: Peter Edwardsen, Ryan (Jessica) Edwardsen, Greg Larson, Stephanie Beach Mowery and Eric Beach; siblings: Arlene (Gary) Kruse, Raymond (Denise) Koktavy, Gerri Specken and Lucy Koktavy; grandchildren: Hailey, Christian, Leland and Meadow Edwardsen, Kaylee Larson, and Elizabeth, Brandon, Emma and Grace Beach; and numerous nieces and nephews.
