Mary Towry

Mary Melissa Harris Towry, age 62, of Brentwood, TN passed away Friday, August 5, 2016.She was a retired nurse practitioner for the state of Tennessee. She had a B.S. from Belmont University and a M.S. from the University of Tennessee, Memphis. She valued education and took much pride in her work.She is survived by her daughter, Misty Patterson (Todd) of Brentwood, her son, J.W. Towry, of Brentwood, her granddaughter, Alyssa Towry of Glasgow, KY, her step-grandchildren Grant, Noah, and Avery Patterson. She is also survived by her sisters, Brenda Dodson of Indiana, and Bambi Bunn of Nashville, as well as several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Towry, and her parents, Bill and Billie Harris of Estill Springs, TN.Services will be held on Sunday, August 14 at 2 pm at Tusculum Church of Christ, 6117 Nolensville Pike in the small chapel.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tusculum Church of Christ missions.
