Michael Chasteen

Michael A. Chasteen, age 68 of Antioch, TN, died February 20 in Nashville, TN.Michael was born in Peoria, IL and was the son of Lyle and Freda (Bowen) Chasteen. He attended Salem High School and Kaskaskia College. Michael served three years in the United States Army with a tour in Vietnam, for which he was awarded a Silver Star and Bronze Star. He was employed by the FAA in Nashville, TN.He was a loving and devoted father to his three sons: Michael of California; Mark and Matthew of Tennessee. He is also survived by his mother: Freda Chasteen; sister: Iona Canada; niece: Diana Laffoon; and aunt and uncle: Kathy and Don Smith of IL.Services with military honors will be conducted Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Pavilion at Middle Tennessee State Veteran Cemetery in Nashville.NASHVILLE FUNERAL AND CREMATION 615-256-1605
