Mitchell Gibson

January 25, 1971 — November 1, 2017

Mitchell Hunter Gibson I , sometimes known by Chuck, was born January 25, 1971. He played football, baseball & excelled in any sport or activity he pursued. He attended church camp, archery & riflery activities. He loved to fish, golf, anything to do with the outdoors & above all, his family. Mitchell practiced tai chi, shao lin kenpo, & Karate, where be held a black belt. He met his wife at 12 years old & by 16,they were dating. By the age of 20,they were engaged & both finished many degrees, licenses & schooling. He loved cars & spent much time with his Father in law & son, over their shared love of hot rods. He could fix anything mechanical that was created. Mitchell held scuba certificates, welding, gas piping, refrigeration, & cooling & held a Master Mechanical license & did design builds, blueprints, CCAD & was a Mechanical Contractor/Engineer. His IQ bordered on genius level. He attended medical school young, & had an LPN license, surgical assistant license & extensive training in the medical field, but chose not to pursue them. By the age of 27, Mitchell & Sheryl married & gave birth to a baby boy, Mitchell Hunter Gibson II, 7 months later. He held his preemie, who wasn’t breathing & watched his wife bleed out. Hunter was resuscitated & taken to NICU & his wife rushed into surgery. He almost lost both that day, but after a week, they went home as a family & for the next 19 years, he did everything he could to shower them with love, make them happy & spoil them. He provided for them in life & in death. The Gibson’s planned to renew their 20 year Anniversary next year in their favorite place, the Smoky Mountains. November 26th would be their 26th year together. Mitchell’s life was cut abruptly & tragically short November 1, 2017, when Sheryl found him unconscious. She & Hunter tried CPR, called 911, & he was rushed to the hospital, where he never regained a heart rhythm. He was a happy go lucky, honest, loving man & no one that ever met him will forget him. Eternal love never dies. We are only separated between life & death, by a hair thin strand. Mitchell’s family will see him in Eternity. www.CallNFC.com
