Nathan Bagwell

Nathanuel Luther Bagwell III, age 80 of Madison, TN, entered eternal rest on April 9, 2023. Born to N.L. Bagwell Jr. and Jean Stephens Bagwell, Nathan entered this life on July 23, 1942 in Nashville, TN.

Nathan pursued a career for himself in the sprinkler division of the fire protection industry where he served an impressive 45 years. A lover of all things related to Nascar and Dale Earnhardt Sr., he also participated in sportsman drag racing, specifically as an integral member of the pit crews. A hardcore Alabama fan, Nathan's Alabama gear collection is second to none. The Crimson Tide would be honored to have a fan as devoted as he was.

Nathan is preceded in death by his father, N.L. Bagwell Jr. and mother, Jean Stephens Bagwell.

Nathan is survived by his wife, Gail Bagwell, with whom he shared a wonderful 30 years together; daughters, Dena Baker (Scott) and Laura Steele (Sammy); sons, Phillip Bagwell (Gnell) and Nathan Bagwell IV; brother, Steve Bagwell; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A service will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Dickerson Rd. Baptist Church located at 3601 Dickerson Rd., Nashville, TN 37207 with visitation from 11 am - 1 pm and a Celebration of Life beginning at 1 pm.

Please dress casual and feel free to wear any Alabama gear in Nathan's honor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Alive Hospice.
