Newell Pangburn

January 12, 1926 — July 8, 2015

Newell Knapp Pangburn, age 89 of Nashville, passed away on July 8, 2015. A native of Nashville, he was the son of Newell Truman Pangburn and Janie Kinney Pangburn. He graduated from Duncan Preparatory School for Boys and Vanderbilt University where he played on Vanderbilt’s baseball team. After graduating, he was drafted into the minor leagues and played baseball for several years. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Marjorie Pangburn Buscemi. He is survived by four children, Debbie Forte, Knapp Pangburn, Sharon Potts and Bart Pangburn, 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
