Oscar Hays

Oscar C. Hays (O.C.), Age 86 of Nashville passed away June 5, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife, Challye Sue Gafford Hays and his parents Oscar and Frances Hays. Survivors include their five children, Debbie Hays Denning (Donnie), Dottie Hays (John), Steve Hays (Julie), Brian Hays, Susan Hays Dean (Jimmy); sister-in-law and brother-in-law Patricia and Don Waldran; nine beloved grandchildren and three great grandchildren. O.C. served honorably in the Korean War, retired from American General Insurance Company and was active in their retiree events. O.C. and his wife were one of the founding members of St. James the Less Episcopal Church in Madison where he loved singing in the choir, and they were both active in all aspects of the life of the Church. O.C. graduated from Isaac Litton High School. He loved his family and friends dearly and enjoyed participating in sports in his earlier years and attending/watching all sporting events.
