Upon returning home, Paul studied HVAC systems and became a certified HVAC Technician and worked in the industry until his retirement. After a protracted illness, Paul passed away during his stay at the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on Friday, May 26

, 2017. His remains will be laid to rest at the Hendersonville Memory Gardens, In Hendersonville, Tennessee. A gravesite service will be held at 10:30am Tuesday June 13, 2017.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Taylor of Hendersonville, Tennessee, two daughters, three step-children, and several grandchildren.
