Raymond Leo "Ray" Sindelir, age 72 of Franklin, TN, passed away December 29, 2015 at his home.Born in Redwood Falls, MN, Ray was the son of the late: Raymond and Eileen Sindelir of Olivia, MN.He is survived by his wife: Dianne Sindelir of Franklin, TN; daughters: Allison Sindelir of Franklin and Anne (Chris) Gellen of Asheville, NC; three grandchildren: Ty, Hannah and Raymond Gellen; a sister: Kay (Ron) Karels of Faribault, MN; brother: Terry (Raeleen) Sindelir of Lakeville, MN; 9 nieces and nephews and many cousins across the country.Ray will be fondly remembered as a loving husband, generous father and grandfather, and faithful friend. He was an avid traveler and especially loved traveling in his motorcoach to the Rocky Mountains and western United States. He was a dedicated MN Vikings fan, too. Additionally, Ray was a proud patriot and served his country in the United States Marine Corps.In his free time, Ray enjoyed many walks with his 15 year old Yorkshire terrier, Rudy, and his grand-pups: Gracie and Gelo.Ray's faith and example will also be missed. He epitomized the words of Proverbs 22:1 "A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold." Ray had a good name and his legacy will endure for generations to come.His family will celebrate his life as he is laid to rest with military honors on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 12:00 noon in the Nashville National Cemetery.
