Richard Eugene Davis was born on April 20, 1937 in Nashville, Tennessee. He departed this life on Monday, June 18, 2018. He was born to Hazel Beamon Robertson, and was adopted and raised by Chelsey and Fannie Mae Davis. Preceding him in death were his birth mother, parents, son Bryant Eugene, brother Daniel Robertson Jr., and very close cousin John Thomas Sweat.Richard Graduated from Lincoln High School in Evansville, Indiana. He attended DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois where he received his Masters’s Degree. Richard worked as a General Manager for several years. in his later years, he owned and operated Capitol Building Maintenance Company.Richard was baptized at Greater Pentecostal Temple in Kansas City, Kansas. He had a great passion for fishing and cooking.He leaves to mourn his passing wife, Vivian, Daughters Theresa(Tee) Davis, Marcia (Toni) Davis, Antioch, Tennessee; sons Richard (Ricky) Davis, St. Louis, Missouri, and Barrington Davis, Houston, Texas; grandchildren Antonio, Bryan, Fred, Montoy, Eric, Derricka, Tanae, San Antonio, and Shaun; great-grandchildren Antonia, Antoynia, Antonio Jr., Bryans Jr. Chelsey, Layla, Montoy Jr., and Lanasia; cousins Michael Beamer, Smyrna, Tennessee, Anna Wallace, Francesca Munoz, Nashville, Tennessee, Hewwitt Chambers, Jr., Edgewater Park, New Jersey, Lori Griffith, Middlesex, New Jersey, and Marion Eason, Newark, New Jersey; and other relatives and friends.Richard will be buried with full military honors on Friday, June 29, 2018, 10:00 am, at Greenwood Cemetery, Gospel Garden Saint John, 1428 Elm Hill Pike, Nashville, TN 37210. His burial site is located near the main office. You can enter the cemetery from the Spence Lane entrance.
