Richard Kessler

Richard was born October 17, 1948 and grew up in Oxford, Michigan. He passed away at Veterans Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee with his daughter and son-in-law at his side on March 25, 2020.Richard lived in Oxford, Michigan until moving to Columbiaville, Michigan about 40 years ago. He graduated from Oxford High School, served in the Army, and was then a meat cutter for 40 years, retiring from Farmer Jacks. He enjoyed knitting, watching sports, watching freighters in Algonac, travelling, campfires, and camping with his friends and family.He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Barbara Kessler. Richard was survived by his sister Darlene and Dick Hauxwell; children Ranessa and Rick Dynes and Justin Eliot; grandchildren Nicole Dynes, Holly and Ronald Foreman, Michael Dynes, Brooke Dynes, and Christian Dynes; and great-granddaughter Rosalie Foreman. He will be greatly missed by his dearest friend Kitty Vigneau.Family services will be held in Oxford, Michigan at a later time, followed by interment at Ridgelawn Memorial Cemetery.
