Richard Dewitt Miller

Richard (Chad) Miller passed away peacefully at the age of 79 on December 10, 2023, ,at NHC, Gallatin, TN.

Chad was never married but had a host of friends in many areas of life. 

Richard (Chad) DeWitt Miller was born on 10/26/44 in Louisville, KY

Parents Roberta Margaret Yost passed in 1973, Melverton Richard Miller passed in 1971

Siblings Patricia Ann Gallo passed in 2006 & Mary Lee Ventura passed in 1991

Survived by many nieces and nephews.

Chad is a retired Senior Director from AARP in Nashville and spent most of his life in social services. He spent time in the Seminary studying to be a Catholic priest but left that ministry in pursuit of another. He was an active member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Hendersonville, TN, and participated in many of their programs. Chad helped many men and women in the recovery field by sharing his forty-plus years of sobriety.

He was a large personality with true humility that never met a stranger. He shared from his heart and spread authentic love and concern to all he met in his lifetime. When he couldn't get out and about on his own, others picked him up and brought him to meetings so he would participate in the rooms that fed him spiritually.

Many will miss him, and his presence will be felt in the hearts of all who loved him.
