Robert Bridges Sr.

Robert Sterling Bridges Sr., age 82, passed away December 27, 2016. Mr. Bridges was preceded in death by his brothers Sonny and Wayne, and his sister Nancy. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sandra Bridges; children Carolyn (Ed) Gregory, Nancy (Allan) Legard, Janis (Roger) McKinney, and Bob (Kim) Bridges; 2 step-children, Ralph Chappell and Pam Chappell. Mr. Bridges is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.Mr. Bridges served the Lord his entire life, both as a deacon for 64 years and as an accomplished organist. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 7th 2017 at 2pm at Union Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Mayo, Dr. Fred Johnson, and Dr. Raymond Langlois officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 12:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Music Ministry of Union Hill Baptist Church and Alive Hospice of Nashville.
