Robert Cleveland Case, 65 of Nashville, died peacefully on Friday, June 19, 2015.After a 7 year battle with lung cancer, Robert, best known as “Bobby”, took his last breath at Alive Hospice with his family by his side.Bobby is survived by his wife of 39 years: Glenda Sue Rader; and his children: Jessica and (Ricky George), Jennifer and (Jeremy Medley), Jan and (Ben Starr); and adopted children: Kristen and (Bill Luchynsky); grandsons: Jonah and Jamin Medley, Garrett and Strother Lunchynsky. He is also survived by his brothers: John (Linda) Case, Douglas Thompson, Thomas (Charlene) Case, Linda R. Case, (Chris) Martha Jane Johnson; several nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, and great friends.Robert was proceeded in death by his parents: John and Bettye Case; sister: Deborah; brother: Richard; and his daughter: Julie.Bobby was a long time mechanic and car restorationist. He also worked on small engine repair at McHenry Tractor when he had to retire for medical reasons.Bobby was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Church of Christ. He served as a Deacon at the Church of Christ at 501 East Trinity Lane, Nashville, TN. Bobby attended Inglewood and Litton. He served in the United States Army. Bobby and Glenda have always had a special bond with the youth. They have served for several years at the church camp geared toward at risk youth with parents who are incarcerated. Bobby also never flipped out when his kids brought home kids with no family and pets that needed to be saved from the pound.Bobby and Glenda always opened their home to those in need and treated them like they were part of the family.The memorial service will be held Monday, June 22, 2015 at Trinity Lane Church of Christ, 501 East Trinity Lane, 37207.
