Sally Ann Youngman, 82 years young, a longtime resident of Peoria, IL passed away May 28, 2015 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN.
Born in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Eleanor Cook.
Sally was a 40-year member of Northminster Presbyterian Church and King's Daughters & Sons both in Peoria. She served as a volunteer at PARC and Zeller Health Center. She was also a 50-year member of the Maple Ridge Bridge Club and a long time member with her husband at Mt Hawley Country Club.She will best be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a faithful, caring and loving Christian. She loved others above herself and was unselfish in every aspect of life.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 56 years David J. Youngman and her brother Bob Cook in 2010.
She is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law: Pete & Jane Gray Youngman of Brentwood, TN, Mat & Julie Youngman of Chaska, MN and Dan & Toni Youngman of Chattanooga, TN; a sister: Mary Ponshock of Marietta, GA; five grandchildren: Jason Youngman of Rockvale, TN, Stacy Gordon of Spring Hill, TN, Paige Youngman of Tampa, FL, Natalie and Carson Youngman, both of Chaska, MN; and two great-grandchildren: Kate Gordon and Marlowe Youngman as well as 8 nieces and nephews.
Her family will celebrate her life with services in Peoria, Illinois. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Mt. Hawley Cemetery in Peoria.NASHVILLE FUNERAL AND CREMATION 615-256-1605
