Sidney Mason, Jr

September 7, 1950 — November 16, 2018

Sidney H Mason Jr., age 68 of Nashville, died Nov. 16, 2018. The Nashville native was was a graduate of East High School and spent four years in the Army, with another 2 years in the reserves. He was a custom trim carpenter for over fourty years. This was who he was not just what he did. He enjoyed fishing, golf, playing pool and listening to the blues and rock and roll music. He had a large frog collection. This started with one he excavated out of the ground as a child. His love of family and pets was unending, and not necessarily in that order. (LOL). We believe he is now reunited with his beloved Prissy, ZZ, Burr, Sundance, Rockfish, Baby, Bobo, Pinky, Spike, Lexie, Jackamoe, Mr.Weezel, Bubby, Zazu, Sam and Inky. He is survived by wife: Cheryl; children: Sarah (Jeff) Wilkins, Sidney Mason, Amanda (James) Carney and Jennifer Napier (Chris Edwards); grandchildren: Zackrey Wilkins, Jacob Wilkins and Rashawn Lester; and his mother: Jean Windsor. Memorial services will be held at Donelsonview Baptist Church, 2049 Lebanon Rd, on December 22, 2018 at 2:00 PM, with Bro. Bo Fawbush officiating. Interment will be private at Nashville National Cemetery.
