Mr. Stephen Wayne Werner age 53, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.Steve was born in Pensacola, Florida, on January 24, 1966, to Henry and Joyce Werner. He lived in Jacksonville, Florida before moving to Hendersonville, TN at the age of 13. He graduated Hendersonville High School in 1984. He worked as a mason for many years, graduated TTDS Truck driving school, drove over the road, and worked in radiographic testing on the pipeline, and was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 112 Union. Steve had a passion for working on motors and old cars. He was known for his love of Chevy cars/trucks, Nascar, and UT football. He also enjoyed golf and fishing as well as spending time with his grandchildren and children. He had an adventurous spirit and a “helping” spirit. If anyone had a need, Steve never hesitated to say “Yes.” He loved cookouts by the pool with friends and family. Steve always had a funny story to share with everyone, loved joking, and loved life. He will be missed by all.He is preceded in death by his father, Henry Martin Werner. Survivors include his wife, Sharon Werner, children Britney Jarrett (Ryan), Bradford Werner (Anne Grace), and Bridget Thurman (Stephen), grandchildren, Ensley Grace Jarrett and Henry Jack Werner, his mother Joyce Werner, sister Twila McCloskey (Rob), brother David Werner, sister Kim Adair (Jim), and nieces Emily Alcorn and Autumn Werner, and his dog Charlie.A Celebration of Life was held December 29, 2019 at the Hendersonville Church of God, Hendersonville, TN and was officiated by Pastor Eric Jackson and son, Bradford Werner.
