On Wednesday, August 29, 2018 Tammy Shealon Davis passed away peacefully in Nashville, TN at the age of 59. She fought an incredibly brave battle with Glioblastoma. She was the loving mother to Jason Davis Hoffman and loving "Grammy," to Miles Edward Hoffman. Her son and grandson were her pride and joy and anyone who met her were sure to hear about them. She was preceded in death by her father Joseph Davis and her mother Betty Sue Larkin. She is survived by her son Jason D. Hoffman, Grandson Miles Hoffman, two brothers, Robert (Megan) Larkin and Gary (Jennifer) Larkin, and one sister, Donna (Ernie) Phillips. She also left behind nieces and nephews, Haley Morgan, Linda, Peter, Justin and Ernest (also preceded in death by nephew John), countless cousins, friends and of course her beloved dog, "Abby Girl."Tammy was very passionate about many causes including animal rescue, environmental issues, music and humanitarian issues. She met many of her friends through these causes and formed strong bonds. She tried to make a difference anywhere she could. Tammy worked in the mental health field most of her life where she helped find housing for the homeless, find jobs for those without and feed those who had none. She also worked at Vanderbilt Hospital where she was also able to make a difference for so many.She was also an accomplished guitarist and singer who played throughout Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee over her life and brought smiles to many faces with her music. Speaking of smiles that is what people remember about her most was her beautiful spirit, her smile and her dimple.
