Verne F. Eva, age 84, a polio survivor , died at home after a long struggle against Alzheimer’s. This disease took his body and mind, but it never took away Christ’s love for him. He is now with his Savior.Born in Owosso, Michigan, Verne was the son of LaVerne F. Eva and Violet Doris Launstein, and the brother of Marilyn Ann Eva Brake, Sidney E. Eva, David Leigh Eva and Allen Henry Eva. The Eva family moved to Nashville in 1950. Verne was married to Betty Frances McGee Eva; father to Cheryl Ann Eva Pitts and Robert Eva; grandfather to Jonathan Andrew Pitts and Benjamin Cody Pitts; great grandfather to Nicolette Gray Lloyd and Paul Keenan Davidson.Verne was a founding member and Deacon of Bellevue Baptist Church, Nashville, TN and Senior Industrial Engineer at Ford Glass Plant, Nashville, TN.His family is thankful to know that he is home with his heavenly Father, perfectly restored, and loved forever and ever.A Memorial service will be at Bellevue Baptist Church, 7400 Highway 70 South, Nashville, TN 37221, at 11a.m. Saturday, September 10th. The Rev. Mike Shelton will officiate.
