Veronica (Ronnie) Reed, 76, passed away January 11, 2018. She was born in Providence RI to Howard and Helen Mulvey. A graduate of North Providence High School in 1959, she was a majorette and loved to dance. A few years later she married, and was a devoted wife, and mother. Veronica was a medical transcriptionist for many years. She retired from The Veteran's Administration personnel office in Biloxi, MS and later moved to Bowling Green, KY.She is survived by her daughters, Robin (Nowell) McCartney, Sandra (Nowell) Farrell; son Robert Nowell, III; grand-children Jennifer (Justin) Cole, Jesse Blalock; great-grandchildren Bailey Johnson, and Brooks Johnson. She is preceded in death by son, Christopher Culpepper.Her memory will live on in the many quilts, blankets, and hats she created for her family, friends, and those at The Battered Women’s Shelters. She also created quilts for homeless Veterans, and charities. She was especially proud to make "Comfort Blankets" for the children in the shelters, stating "she wanted the kids to be wrapped in a warm blanket and feel safe".
