Vicki Jean Pillow, 67, Murfreesboro, died at 7:02 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019, from sepsis and other complications related to injuries sustained three years ago when she was struck by a bus while attempting to cross the street on foot on her way to work.
Vicki was born Jan. 26, 1952, in Flint, MI. She retired after 30 years of civil service with the State of Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. Her passions in life were music, literature, puzzles, the ocean, gardening, adventure, penny slots, and spending time with the people she loved.
She is survived by her mother, Catherine Pillow, Flint, MI; her brother, Dennis Pillow and his wife, Kimmie, Flint, MI; her daughter, Solita Morris, and granddaughter, Delilah Morris, Murfreesboro; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Gene Pillow.
