Wanda Wade

Wanda Louise (Tanner) Wade, 87, of La Vergne, TN, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 27, 2015.Mrs. Wade was born July 1, 1928, in Parkersburg, WV where she grew up and later raised her family.She was a member of Cross Roads United Methodist Church, 7390 Old Saint Mary’s Pike, Waverly, WV 26184. Her love for the Lord was a special light that shown for all who knew and loved her. She and her husband later moved to Tennessee in 2006, where they attended La Vergne United Methodist Church.Mrs. Wade was preceded in death by her husband: Charles Wade of Smyrna, TN; daughter: Victoria Contreras of Nashville, TN; sisters: Billie Bayles and Patsy Weaver; brother: Robert Tanner of Ohio; parents: Donna Skinner and Danial Tanner; and grandson: Alex Wix of WV.Mrs. Wade is survived by her son: Douglas (Sharon) Wade of TN; daughter: Linda Covey of GA; son in-law: Juan Contreras of TN; brother: Charles Cokeley of OH; sisters: Sandy (Tom) Fulk of OH and Brenda (David) Skinner of Ohio; grandsons: Adam (Stephanie) Covey of GA, David (Mary Mac) Darnell of TN; granddaughter: Amanda Wade of WV and Amber (Adam) Robertson of GA; great-grandsons: Marley Covey and Spencer Robertson of GA, and Dax Darnell of TN; great-granddaughter: Lily Kate Robertson of GA. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.Services will be held August 8, 2015, at La Vergne First United Methodist Church, 248 Waldron Road, La Vergne, TN 37086. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. with services to follow at 2:00 PM.
