Wendell Burton, Jr.

Wendell D Burton Jr. passed away on March 15th at 7:30 a.m. . After a brief illness and a severe stroke, God took him and he joined the ranks of the Angels. He is survived by his wife Melinda Burton of Murfreesboro TN, his mother Catherine Burton of Lincoln Illinois, sisters Carolyn Sue Dammerman and Tracy Brown both of Lincoln Illinois, daughter Wendy (Russell) LeCompte of Normal Illinois, stepdaughter Anna (Christopher) Day of Port Charlotte FL, stepdaughter Tara (James) Keenum of Hammond Louisiana, nine grandchildren, Caleb, Connor and Caelyn Steffens, Colton LeCompte, Nikolai Wakey, James Wayne Keenum III, Ryen Keenum, Caiden and Madison Day. He will be cremated and his ashes spread over the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Florida, where he loved to spend his days fishing and boating.
